At CO Kids we are extremely passionate about our customers and understand that the amazing children we're capturing will one day be inheriting the world in which we live today.
We must give those children the best chance to succeed and by taking positive environmental action on issues such as climate change and the circular economy we can help offer a much safer, securer and more sustainable future.
As a responsible business we promise to conduct our activities in full compliance with all applicable environmental legislation, prevent pollution and continually improve our environmental performance for the benefit of everyone.
Our key environmental commitments include:
Carbon Reduction:
Minimising our business travel by planning the most efficient route to our clients.
Allocating CO Kids photographers that are located closest to the client to limit emissions from business travel.
Offsetting carbon emissions associated with our business travel by investing in tree planting initiatives
Waste Reduction:
Only using digital cameras to avoid the use of disposal film and packaging.
Use cameras with rechargeable batteries as opposed to disposable ones.
Investing in high-quality, long lasting equipment to avoid the need for regular upgrades and disposal of old redundant equipment.
Utilising secure online galleries as opposed to printing off hardcopy portfolios.
Support and Communications:
Support initiatives that help children understand the key environmental issues (i.e Eco-Schools etc).
Support our CO Kids colleagues by offering awareness training on environmental issues.
Sustainable Procurement:
Endeavour to purchase any products we use from sustainable sources (i.e FSC/PEFC paper etc).
We are really proud to be capturing the lives of so many children at such an important stage of their development.
We want to play our part, use our influencing power and support positive environmental action with all our stakeholders.
This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it reflects any changes to our business or indeed any additions to our environmental commitments.
