every child deserves an awesome photograph of their early years.
Not a stiff, awkward, overly staged one
(not the kind many of us have hidden away from our own childhoods… no thanks!).

We’re currently recruiting freelance photographers to work with us across multiple locations across England, photographing in nurseries, early years settings and special schools.
This is a freelance, contractor-based role, ideal if you’re looking for flexible, rewarding photography work that genuinely makes a difference.

Our photographers are energetic, efficient, compassionate and have a real passion to natural, child-led photography, designed to capture real moments and real personalities.
And as CO Kids continues to grow, we’re looking for photographers who share that same approach.

Does this sound like you?
You might be a great fit if:
You’re a professional photographer, photography graduate, or a nursery practitioner turned photographer
You’re set up to work as a freelance contractor
You genuinely enjoy being around children (and don’t mind being a bit silly now and then to get a natural smile)
You have a positive, can-do attitude and plenty of energy
You care deeply about your work and won’t settle for “good enough”
You’re reliable, punctual and detail-focused
You enjoy working with natural light and relaxed, unforced photography styles
What You’ll Need
To work with CO Kids, you’ll need:
Your own DSLR camera, lenses and equipment
A skill set suited to photographing children in busy early years environments
An enhanced DBS check (no older than 3 years, or willingness to obtain one)
The ability to travel to and from locations independently
(most photography days involve early starts)A professional, friendly and calm approach when working with children, staff and families
